The aim of this research is to answer the question "Are there prosodic markers which are unique to propaganda speech?" I am investigating the way that propaganda can become indexed through the suprasegmental features of pauses, pitch accent, and intonation. To explore this, I conducted a production experiment, asking participants to produce statements under the context of different modes of speech, propaganda included. This is a work in progress.
